This year’s Moonlight Movies on the Beach, presented by MondoCelluloid.com, kicks off with a 30th Anniversary Screening of what is widely considered to be the best of the adventures of Kirk, Spock and crew – 1982′s Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan!

“Do you know the Klingon proverb that tells us….revenge is a dish that is best served cold?”  In director Nicholas Meyer’s sci-fi classic, the aging crew of the USS Federation is reflecting on a long career in space, with Admiral James T. Kirk particularly resigned to the fact that this may well be the last space mission of his career.  Meanwhile, aided by his band of genetic supermen, Khan – once the ruler of an entire kingdom, now exiled on a barren wasteland, for which he blames Kirk- steals a top secret device called Project Genesis, wrests control of another Federation starship, and now passionately schemes to set a most deadly trap for his old enemy Kirk…
